Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 21, 2026
Clean Job Tracker (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what the iOS app stores and how it uses Apple’s services. The app is not intended for children under 13.
1. Information you store in the app
The app only processes data you enter to manage your cleaning business:
- Clients: name, phone, address, and notes.
- Cleaning jobs: client, scheduled date, recurrence rule, status, and notes.
- Checklists: item titles and completion state per job; optional reusable templates.
- Photos: before/after images attached to jobs (stored as binary data synced via iCloud).
- Payments: amount, deposit, paid status, and payment date linked to a job.
We do not require a separate account beyond your Apple ID for iCloud.
2. Where data is stored
Your data is saved in your iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit private database (via Core Data with CloudKit). It syncs to your iPhone and iPad signed in with the same Apple ID.
We do not run our own servers for your jobs or clients. Storage and sync are handled by Apple’s iCloud infrastructure under your Apple ID. The app has no subscriptions, no ads, and no third-party analytics SDKs.
3. Permissions
The app may request access to:
- Photo Library / Camera: to attach before/after photos to cleaning jobs (optional).
- Push notifications (background): used for CloudKit sync updates when enabled by the system.
You can deny these permissions; core job and client tracking still works without photos.
4. Export and sharing
You can generate a PDF summary of a job and share it through the iOS share sheet (e.g. Mail, Messages, Files). Export content is created on your device from data you already store in the app.
5. Website (marketing pages)
If you visit our public website at cleanjobtracker, standard web hosting may log technical data (IP address, browser type) as described by your host. That is separate from data inside the iOS app.
6. Retention and deletion
Data remains in your iCloud while you use the app. You can delete clients, jobs, and photos inside the app. To remove all app data from iCloud, delete the app and associated iCloud data as described in your Apple ID / iCloud settings.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date at the top will change when we do. Please review this page occasionally.
