Privacy Policy

Kaizeando (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what the iOS app stores and how it uses Apple’s services. The app is not intended for children under 13.
1. Information you store in the app
The app only processes data you create for your own learning:
- Timelines: titles for skills you are practicing (for example “Fingerstyle guitar”).
- Progress videos: short clips you record or pick from your library, optional notes, duration, and capture date.
- Video responses: short reply videos and optional notes attached to a specific progress clip.
- Notifications: in-app records that someone left a video comment on a timeline you shared.
We do not require a separate account beyond your Apple ID for iCloud. Do not record other people without their consent.
2. Where data is stored
Progress data is saved on your device and in your iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit. Videos are stored as CloudKit assets in your private database. Sharing a timeline uses Apple’s CloudKit sharing when you invite someone.
We do not run our own backend for your videos or notes. There are no ads or analytics SDKs in the app. Storage and sync are handled by Apple’s iCloud infrastructure under your Apple ID.
3. Camera, microphone, and photo library
Camera and microphone access are requested only when you record a progress video or a video response. Photo library access is requested only when you choose an existing video. Temporary picked files are stored with complete file protection on device.
4. Sharing with a teacher or friend
Sharing is invited-only. There is no public profile, searchable gallery, or anonymous link. When you share a timeline, invited people can watch its clips and add video responses. They cannot invite others. Only the timeline you share is visible to them; your other timelines stay private.
5. Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app can alert you when someone else leaves a video comment on a timeline you have shared. Your own replies on your timeline do not create a notification. Permission is requested when you start sharing, open the inbox, or already have a shared timeline.
6. Purchases
Starting or managing a share requires a one-time In-App Purchase processed by Apple StoreKit. An invited person does not need to purchase sharing to view the timeline or add responses. We do not receive your payment card details.
7. Third-party services in the app
The app does not embed analytics SDKs, ads, or third-party trackers. Purchases use Apple StoreKit. Sync and sharing use Apple iCloud (CloudKit). Push alerts use Apple Push Notification service when you opt in.
8. Website (if you use our marketing pages)
If you visit our public website, it may use standard tools such as Google Tag Manager or similar for aggregated traffic insight. That activity is separate from data inside the iOS app and is governed by the policies of those providers.
9. Retention and deletion
Data remains in your iCloud while you use the app. You can stop sharing a timeline from the system sharing sheet. The current product does not offer in-app deletion of timelines, clips, or responses (notifications can be deleted). To remove app data from iCloud, use your Apple ID / iCloud settings or delete the app and associated iCloud data as described by Apple.

We may update this policy; the effective date at the top will change when we do. Please review this page occasionally.
